On
the Work & Travel New Zealand you will find paid
positions throughout New Zealand. We will provide
you with the support, guidance and flexibility to
find just the job you are suited for. Prior to arrival
we will help you prepare your resume and cover letter
for the New Zealand job market. Upon arrival you will
have a consultation with a recruitment consultant
who will go through your resume and discuss job opportunities.
This saves you 2-3 weeks of time familiarizing yourself
with the local scene and job market. Additionally,
there are consultants located throughout the country
who are ready to help you with ongoing job searches
as you travel around New Zealand.

Location:
All participants start with an orientation
session in Auckland. However, job placements may be
found throughout New Zealand. There are also help centers
located in Bay of Islands, Rotorua, and Queenstown.
Length
of program:
Participants may work in a non-permanent position
for the duration of their visa. American and Canadian
citizens visas are valid for 1 year; British citizen
visas are valid for 23 months.

Salary:
Working a typical 40-hour week in New Zealand in an
unskilled position, you can expect to make around $300-$400
NZD per week (approximately $200 - $270USD). As with
all jobs, pay varies depending upon your skills and
the demand for such skills. We cannot guarantee any
specific wage, and the salary relationship is entirely

Orientation:
You will have an in-country orientation arranged for
you upon your arrival. During orientation you will be
introduced to New Zealand and be given advice about

Visa
Documentation:
We will help you with the application for a Working
Holiday Maker Visa to New Zealand. With this visa you
will be able to live and work in the country. For US
citizens, 1000 Working Holiday Maker Visas are granted
throughout the year starting in May.
All participants are responsible for applying for their
visa and for any additional visa fees.
