Program Benefits

These are some of the benefits that you could get by participating in AAG Teacher Exchange Program!

Salaries for Teachers
Our teachers are generally paid on the same salary scale as their U.S. counterparts according to their education and experience and to the job they are offered. Teachers are paid directly from the school districts which they teach. Teacher salaries vary depending on the school district the teacher works in. Generally, teachers in urban schools receive salaries ranging between 30,000 USD to 47,000 USD depending on their education and experience. Teachers in rural schools may receive a slightly lower salary, but the cost of living is proportionately lower in these regions. Private schools generally pay slightly lower wages but offer different advantages.

Experience
Teachers are provided a unique opportunity to develop professionally and engage in cultural exchange with their colleagues and students. Upon arrival, the teacher will have the opportunity to become an active member of their new community and learn about American culture and traditions first hand. Teachers will also learn American pedagogical methods that will broaden their professional experience. It is AAG’s goal that our participants return to their home countries with added knowledge which makes them better and more confident teachers.
